Why LEVANT weekly
Started by two students who couldn't find home in Jeonju
Levant started in 2021 as a passion project between two students at Jeonbuk National University, both raised far from where their families were from - Yara, half Palestinian and half Turkish-Syrian; Mohannad, half Moroccan and half Syrian; both raised in Dubai. Unable to find the food they grew up on anywhere in Jeonju, they started making it themselves - street-food-inspired Levant and Turkish cooking, simple and honest, the way it's actually eaten at home. LEVANT weekly is that same kitchen and the same standards, built into a weekly rhythm - for everyone else in Korea who's been missing it too.
